Dr Walkley was born in North Yorkshire and educated in Chester and Johannesburg.

He graduated in Medicine from Manchester University in 1984 and became a partner at Ladybarn Group Practice in 1992 he stayed there until his retirement from full-time practice in 2020.

In 2006 he began working in the Out-of-Hours at Mastercall rising to become a director in 2014.

He has been Chair of Mastercall since 2019 and is very proud to be so.

Outside of work he and his wife enjoy watching motorsport, working on their allotment and walking with their two dogs. He has 3 wonderful children but no grandchildren yet.
